Long Eaton Police officers appeal for information after town assault

Long Eaton Police officers are appealing for witnesses after an assault was carried out in the town.

The incident took place on Wednesday 3rd July in Lower Brook Street, close to the old fountain, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything between 3:20pm and 5:30pm. 

The incident involved a woman in her 40s who was assaulted by a man, also in his 40s, who was wearing blue joggers with white stripes down the side, a black North Face hooded top, a black baseball cap and black trainers. 

A man from Long Eaton has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail.
