A 50-year-old male from Ilkeston has been arrested and charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
The incident happened on Thursday 17th October during the Ilkeston Charter Fair - where police received numerous reports that the male was acting in a disorderly manner whilst under the influence of alcohol, as well as causing distress to members of the public.
PC McGrath from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "Ilkeston Charter fair is an event for everyone to enjoy including families and children.
"We are here to make sure everyone that visits Ilkeston enjoys their time here and can be assured that Police will respond swiftly and robustly against those who intend on spoiling it through disorderly behaviour.
"We are continuing to work hard to target anti-social behaviour, and to keep our communities safe."
