Drugs found after police officers stop and search man acting suspiciously in Ilkeston

Plain clothes police officers carrying out a patrol in Ilkeston have taken action after a man was seen acting suspiciously in the town.

Upon being stopped on Tuesday 23rd July, he was found to be in possession of suspected class A drugs and a quantity of cash and was arrested at the scene and subsequently detained whilst enquiries were carried out.

Spokesman for Derbyshire Police, PC Ramshaw said: "We will continue to use gathered intelligence and local knowledge to target these street dealers. Drug supply is illegal, and we are determined to prevent the criminality and anti social behaviour it brings into our community."
