Two shoplifters recently identified via Police social media posts have been arrested and charged for their crimes.
Lisa Hicking was arrested and charged to court and her car was seized after it was identified to have been used in crime. Her co defendant Beverley Derbyshire was found guilty and given a six week custodial sentence for her offences.
PC Dolby from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "Retail crime can have a significant impact on victims, which is why we are committed to doing all we can to reduce thefts and pursue offenders, especially those prolific and habitual offenders who cause misery within the community. We will use whatever means we can to identify these offenders and bring them to justice. I want to thank our community for helping us achieve this by sharing our social media posts."
